Hi! My name is Jessica, and I’m the intuitive badass behind Beyoutiful Intuition. I’m based out of Fargo, North Dakota, but most of my offerings are virtual so you can access them anywhere!

3 things you need to know about me:

  • I'm obsessed with pink.

My office is painted hot pink, I have a rose gold Christmas tree up all year round, I have a hot pink water bottle…the list goes on and on. Yes, I’m a woman in her 30s who’s obsessed with pink. If you don’t like it, that’s alright! But it sums up a lot about who I am as a person, honestly: bright, bold and fun!

  • I'm not a crystal ball.

I trust my intuition and the Universe (or whatever you want to call it), but I can’t predict the future or make things come true or grant you three more wishes…you get the point. I love what I do, but working with me won’t magically fix all your problems or make them disappear. That would be nice though, eh?

  • I talk about The Office a lot.

I talk about and quote from The Office probably way too much in my daily life, and I own an Office Tarot deck that has become my new favorite thing, obviously. I might end up quoting it in a reading with you whether I’m using that deck or not, so if you’re not a fan, we may not jive. And that’s okay!

And here are my core values:

  • Trust yourself.

At the end of the day, this is my main mission that propels me forward both as a person and in this business. You are the one constant in your life, so it’s important to develop some trust within yourself. Trust is a process, not a one-time thing, so please be patient and compassionate as you’re figuring it out!

  • Love yourself.

Self-love and self-care can be seen as buzzwords with a bad reputation, but not around here. They’re essential words that become part of your daily routine, whether you realize it or not. Taking good care of yourself is one of the best things you can do, but sometimes it can be challenging. I’m here for you!

  • Be yourself.

You don’t need to be a certain version of yourself (or someone else) to deserve to love yourself or take better care of yourself or chase after your dreams or have lofty goals or even just get through the day. You get to be you, as you are right now, with no conditions. Be you, not them! :)

  • "Thank you SO much for this. I NEEDED THIS. You are amazing."

    Rebecca

  • "Thank you SO much! I needed this. It's spot on for what's going on in my life right now."

    Jacqueline

  • "Jessica has provided consistent, helpful, judgement-free guidance through her careful listening and practice."

    Emily

  • "Jessica is AMAZING. She literally pulled the same card I had pulled for myself. If you're looking for confirmation in your life- treat yo self!"

    Kara

  • "It's eerie how spot on you are! Amazing. Thank you!!!"

    Amanda

  • "Ok ok that Inspiration card CALLED MY ASS OUT and I needed it so bad. The villains cards: CALLED OUT. But in loving ways. Thank you so much! That was such a good reading."

How I got here: my tarot journey!

I grew up thinking that meditation, tarot, crystals, figuring out what color your aura was and trusting the vibes you get from people and places were totally normal. I’m not saying all of that is super weird, but I learned pretty quickly that none of my other friends were doing those things when we were kids.

I remember the weird looks I got from a friend during a school spelling bee in elementary school when I closed my eyes and meditated before it was my turn. She looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn’t think I was. That was just my way of calming down and clearing my mind, and I’m grateful to have learned about it so early in life because it’s a tool I still use (almost) every day.

I threw a Halloween party my sophomore year of high school (and dressed up as Sandy from the end of Grease, obvi, as you do), and my mom did free readings for me and my friends. I felt like the coolest person in the world because no one else I knew was doing that at parties then.

During the rest of high school and then college, I eventually pulled away from the spiritually inquisitive side of myself, but I kept feeling the calling to pick it up again. I chose to ignore it for several years, even though I could feel that my intuition was growing.

Eventually, a lot of things went really far off course from what I had thought would happen. Both of my grandpas passed away within a year of each other. I worked at a lot of soul-sucking jobs. I had been let go from two full-time jobs in a row. I got married, and my husband and I moved into his late aunt’s house to live with his mother. There was a lot of epic change that happened very quickly in my life, and I started to feel really lost, confused, disappointed and lonely.

I then embarked on a very intense journey of self-love and self-discovery. I started journaling a lot, practically devouring a book a day and sharing more of my thoughts and my life on my blog. It was scary as hell, but being open, honest and vulnerable during all of this pain and heartbreak honestly changed my life.

Then I started feeling nudges and seeing signs from the Universe about exploring spirituality, tarot and all of that again. After ignoring it for so many years, I was skeptical but still open enough to read, research and reflect on it all.

For my 27th birthday, my mom bought me my first tarot deck (The Angel Tarot), and that’s when my own tarot journey officially began.

I dove head first into podcasts and books to learn as much about tarot as I could, but (shockingly) I got really overwhelmed and decided to take a break from it all again.

And then, surprise surprise, more nudges and signs started popping up in my life again, so I bought some more tarot and oracle decks and started learning more about them. My deck collection kept slowly growing, and now I have more than 30 tarot and oracle decks.

I started doing daily readings for myself with the cards and reaching out to different readers on Instagram to make more connections. After several months of doing that, I branched out and started doing readings for some friends who were also card readers. After a particular reading with one friend that really struck a chord with her, she planted the idea in my head by saying “You need to be charging for these readings!”

I scoffed at the idea at first. After all, I was just doing it for fun and to learn more about myself. But now that the idea was there, I couldn’t get it out of my head. I tried to ignore it, but I kept finding myself wanting to do readings for others to help them get the guidance and clarity that I was getting myself.

So then I somewhat impulsively decided to take the leap into small business ownership, and I scheduled a meeting with a local business center. I met up with them on Monday, Dec. 6, 2019. The next day, I submitted my business for approval online with North Dakota’s Secretary of State. That Wednesday, my business was approved, and I was officially a small business owner of Beyoutiful Intuition!

The fact that everything was happening so quickly definitely seemed like a sign that I was on the right path. Even though it’s been a scary and frightening and even nerve-wracking journey at times, I’m so incredibly grateful for how I got here.

And now that I’ve been running this business for over four years? I still have no idea what the future holds, but I’m so damn excited to be on this adventure. I’m diving in head first with my intuition and the Universe by my side. Join me!
